Destination Floral Design workshop in Santa Ynez, Grace Rose Farm.

One of the best things about being a fine art film photographer is that I get to work with some amazing people, and they just keep coming!

This year, I was so fortunate to be approached by the team at Oh Flora who invited me to come and be a part of their destination floral design workshop in Santa Ynez, California.

Yes! You read that right! California!

THIS experience ticked all the boxes for me:

1- Travelling to California for the first time

2 -Doing what I love

3 -Looking at all of the influences of Spain in the towns

4 -Hanging out and collaborating with the Oh Flora Team

5 – Meeting all of the beautiful attendees and capturing their special moments attending the floral design workshop

6 -And more!

The picturesque valley includes six communities that are clustered together, and all have their own influence and charm. From charming to vintage to wine-infused towns, it feels like a world away with endless possibilities and opportunities.

I absolutely adored the quaint Spanish feeling of the towns and being surrounded by such beautiful countryside.

I was definitely spoilt for choice in hospitality and food departments! Not surprising really as Santa Ynez Valley is known for its inaugural four-day food, wine and experiential event! Just amazing.

The attendees of the floral design workshop were spoilt for choice also with a beautiful selection of amazing stylised inspiration. Creating floral wedding bouquets, wedding arches, centre pieces and a lavish fully styled reception dinner … as you can see it was just exquisite!

Using delightful inspiration from Grace Rose Farm, the garden roses are organic and grown with love. You really get a sense of belonging and “friendship” when you are on the farm. Their passion is contagious, and their wonderful team are so engaging, it made our experience so wonderful and something we will all cherish.

I am so passionate about my photography and am so blessed to be able to be included in these opportunities! A huge thank you to the team at Oh Flora for allowing me to experience such an opportunity and feel a part of your team.

Not only did I get to do what I love and travel, I made some lifelong friends and connections. What an amazing experience! I can’t wait to do it again!
