Why Custom Photography Proposals Matter

As you navigate wedding planning and start looking for a wedding photographer, you’ll probably come across many pricing guides and set photography packages.

This is pretty normal. After all, most wedding photographers offer packages at various price points to meet what services clients usually need. And these prices are generally set in stone with little to no room for negotiation or personalization.

But while pricing guides may seem quick and helpful at first, they don’t give you an idea of what you actually need.

If you’re planning a wedding for the first time, you’ve probably never gone through the process of hiring a photographer. So, how are you supposed to know if you need 6, 8, or 10 hours of coverage? How are you supposed to know if you need 1, 2 or 3 photographers to capture every major event? What if you need more time to decide if you want an album or not?

Every wedding is different. Shouldn’t your photography package reflect those differences?

This is where custom wedding photography proposals come into play. And here are a few reasons they matter.

Wedding Photographer creating a custom wedding. package for a bride. Wedding packages.

Your wedding is unique. Although your wedding may have similar elements and/or decor as another couple’s wedding, it’s not going to look or unfold the exact same way. Your intimate beachside wedding needs different coverage than from the couple who is having a large ceremony and reception in a ballroom. Neither is better than the other, but they are different. And your photography proposal should reflect that.

Custom collections give you precisely what you need. Set pricing and tiered photo packages could result in you leaving more money on the table. For example, you may choose a 10-hour photography package when you only need 8-hours. And vice versa. It would be a shame to not get as much time as needed or pay for too much time when you don’t need it. A custom proposal (or as I refer to them, collections) on the other hand meets your exact needs and wants. It considers the big picture while also factors in all the details.

I can help you through the process. Instead of trying to navigate the wedding photography process on your own, wouldn’t you rather work with someone who helps you through it? Who makes sure your needs are listened to, understood, and met? This is one of the many reasons why I offer custom collections – It allows me to help you find the option that best suits your needs. And deliver on them.

It would be horrible if you didn’t love your wedding pictures because you hired a photographer with a detailed photo package but less-than-stellar service. You don’t want that. I don’t want that for you! That’s why I provide custom collections that leave you with no regrets.

Here’s how…

First, we’ll have an in-depth conversation, preferably over the phone. We’ll talk about you and your fiance, your likes and dislikes, and what you want from your wedding photos.

After we chat, I’ll create a customized proposal that features collections specifically designed for you and the things you need. I’ll also answer all of your questions to help you feel more at ease with the process.

Finally, I’ll support you from start to finish. From the time you sign me on as part of your wedding team, I’ll be there to share tips on how we can make your photography and planning journey even better than you can imagine. I’ll send you vendor recommendations, helpful info, and make sure you have everything you need to feel your best in front of the camera.

In the end, you’ll have a personalized experience and photos you truly love!

So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
