After traveling through Thailand together, Heidi and Avadh knew it was the place they wanted to return to for their wedding.
Tucked between towering limestone cliffs and accessible only by boat, Rayavadee in Krabi immediately stood out. The secluded resort felt peaceful, private, and perfectly suited to the kind of celebration they wanted to create with their closest family and friends.
Both drawn to nature in their careers — Heidi works as a geologist and Avadh as an environmental scientist — it was important that their wedding felt connected to the landscape. Rather than planning an elaborate production, they focused on creating a relaxed and intimate destination wedding where the surroundings could take centre stage.
Around forty guests travelled to Krabi to celebrate with them, with the couple spending several days at the resort with family before the wedding.

Set between Railay Beach and Phranang Beach, Rayavadee Krabi is one of the most extraordinary tropical wedding venues in Thailand.
Accessible only by boat, the resort feels completely removed from the outside world while still offering exceptional luxury and service.
One of the reasons couples love hosting a destination wedding at Rayavadee is that the entire celebration can unfold in one place — welcome drinks, the wedding day, and relaxed gatherings with guests across the weekend.
Some of the highlights include:
It’s the kind of place where a wedding feels less like a single day and more like a shared travel experience with the people you love most.

Heidi and Avadh chose one of Rayavadee’s most breathtaking ceremony locations — the limestone cave overlooking the ocean.
Their ceremony took place just before sunset to avoid the afternoon heat, with warm light filtering through the cliffs and reflecting across the water.
Very little styling was needed. The natural rock formations and ocean views created a dramatic setting on their own.
Afterwards, guests moved to an outdoor cocktail hour overlooking the sea — something that was particularly important to the couple so they could spend the evening celebrating alongside their family and friends.

The overall aesthetic of the wedding reflected the natural beauty of the location.
Soft whites and gentle greens complemented the tropical landscape, while thoughtful details embraced the destination in subtle ways — including coconuts incorporated into the tablescape.
Not overdone.
Not gimmicky.
Just elegant styling that felt connected to the place they had chosen to celebrate.
At Rayavadee, surrounded by limestone cliffs and ocean air, a tropical tablescape simply works.

For Heidi and Avadh, the goal of their wedding was simple.
To bring their favourite people together in a beautiful place and celebrate in a way that felt relaxed, meaningful, and true to who they are.
With the limestone cliffs, warm ocean air and sunset over the Andaman Sea, Rayavadee Krabi provided the perfect backdrop.
Moments like these are a reminder of how powerful destination weddings can be — when travel, celebration and meaningful connection come together.
Thailand has become one of the world’s most sought-after locations for tropical destination weddings, offering an incredible combination of natural beauty, warm hospitality, and relaxed luxury.
For couples who love travel, turquoise water, dramatic landscapes and the idea of turning their wedding into a shared holiday with family and friends, it’s an easy choice.
Timing can make a big difference when planning a celebration here. In Krabi, January and February are some of the most beautiful months, with calm seas, clear skies and ideal weather for outdoor ceremonies and sunset celebrations.
Of course, destination weddings come with a few extra moving parts — travel logistics, humidity, time zones and coordinating local vendors — but when everything comes together, the experience becomes something truly unforgettable.
And if you’re building your shortlist of venues, Rayavadee in Krabi is easily one of the most spectacular settings in Thailand. Surrounded by limestone cliffs, crystal blue water and white sand beaches, it offers the rare feeling of luxury immersed completely in nature.
